Soapstone
Solid, kamnepodobny clay rock, formed as a result of consolidation, dehydration and cementation of clays at diagenesis and epigenesis.
On a mineralogical and chemical composition soapstones are very similar to clays, but differ from them in the bigger hardness and inability to razmokat in water. Are put by generally clay minerals of hydromicaceous montmorillonitovy and chlorite types with impurity of particles of quartz, mica, field spars. Like clays, soapstones form either massive layers, or microlayered (plitchaty) versions. Soapstones — the typical sedimentary breeds characteristic for geo sinklinalny folded areas, and also deeply shipped sedimentary thicknesses of platforms.
Scope:
production of expanded clay and as putsollanovy additives by production of cement, ceramic pipes, ceramic elements.
The brick is acid-resistant, tiles oxygen and termokislouporny, chemical resistant products.
